g.j. rancourt, you sir, are a bigot.

g. j. rancourt has currently been making some waves with his bigotted and ignorant remarks.  I can't say that I'm surprised, as last night, there was another christian service going on.  I heard some very ignorant things being said there to by another minister of some sort, and it's the sort of ideology that pervades many christian churches.  These bigots are the real reason we have people who are marginalized in our society.

Sorry, what ever happened to seperation of church and state?  Why do we let religious bigots of any sort run for political office, and even more, why do we elect them?!?!?

Here is my response to this video.

I attended and marched in the "sex" parade. 

It was great. We had a "sex" party with No One Is Illegal and Occupy London Ontario at Richmond and central right after. We attended an "orgy" surrounded by "sex" partyers in which I personally had "sex" with my wife, and many others had "sex" with their significant other.

Check it out for yourself.  I took some video.  You can see all the people having "sex".

Since all I saw in this video was someone kissing another person, I felt no reason to judge them, just because it was different than you. Rancourt, you are a bigot. Enjoy the hell you tell everyone else they're going to. WWJD!!!!

Hint: He certainly wouldn't have made a big scene about two people expressing love for one another.

Rape (or an open letter to todd and mike)

All this talk in the states recently about rep. todd akin and his comment on "legitimate" rape, and mike huckabee, former governor of Arkansas, and his comment now about "forcible" rape. I had an idea for them.  But first... ;D

Dear todd and mike,

Why all those adverbs boys?  Does it lesson your perceived pain when you actually have to say the word rape?  Is that why you go to such lengths to diminish a woman's pain?

todd, the way you said that, implies that you believe that if a women gets pregnant, then it wasn't really a rape, because you were never taught proper sex education.  See, now you know why you should have been taught that.  You could have avoided this all together, but instead, you make an ignorant fool outta yourself.  (btw god is laughing at you right now)  And mike, well, the rape already implies forcible.  Like anyone needs to be reminded of it...  Oh, right. you do, because you're ignorant of these things normally.

How about you call it what it is instead of making up all these asinine phrases. RAPE. And lets just leave it at that.

The problem(s) with sovereigns...

First off, let me start by saying I claim my own sovereignty.  I do not believe that the government should have any power over people if they aren't doing anything that harms others.  That being said, there does need to be some controls over peoples behaviour in society, but that control is being grossly misused by the state.  So I don't believe that a state that harms others, should have any power to harm people who have done nothing wrong.  Like smoke a joint, or not paying taxes because you don't want to contribute to that same state that harms others.

But, I'll get off topic if I get too much into all that.  The purpose of this post is to outline the serious misgivings I have, with the "Freeman-on-the-land" movement.  Most sovereign's understand that causing harm to others is wrong, but they don't see that the real problem is with the state, not the legal system.  Sovereign's are soooo focused on the courts, and the police, that they miss the big picture a lot of the time, or at least it can appear that way.  They're so focused on the agents of the state, that they forget who the real enemy is.

Yes, lets be paper terrorist's and tie up the courts.  Lets "travel" and cause our vehicles to be impounded.  Lets go to court, and cry foul when they justly or unjustly punish those who refuse to take part in society.  I'm reminded of MICHEAL RASILA, or more commonly referred to as Sir Mika Sovereign on facebook.  Here's a guy, who DROVE on the streets with government issue plates, and was arrested, had his van impounded, along with all his tools, and cried foul on the system.  He never deregistered his vehicle(something your supposed to do if you plan on "travelling") and had a clearly marked license plate on it.  Yet there was so much media attention paid to this idiot, because he made a big scene about nothing.  All his claims are bullshit.

I only point that out as an example.  It is also an example of how sovereignty can be manipulated to serve the selfish ends of fuckwits, with no real sense of responsibility.  Which brings us to the real issue.  That many (not all) sovereign's I've met, do not have a well developed sense of responsibility.  Very selfish, only thinking of themselves, or a small group around them.  The rest of society doesn't deserve their respect.  I agree with that, to a point.  But, the ignorant masses are just another aspect of the big problem.

Now, not all sovereign's are alike.  Obviously....  Many though, don't seem to be aware of the different forms oppression takes.  It's like they've found something, but don't know what it is, and instead of researching more, they blindly hang on to the dogma and lies, instead of trying rationally think things through. Since most seem to come from a conspiracy background, I can't say I'm surprised.  Many a rabbit hole I've been down, but many of these holes are just distractions from the larger picture.

The other issue is the blind belief in any conspiracy they might hear.  I know people that think that the world trade centres were brought down with mini nukes.  Seriously?!!@?!#$?????  A little common sense blows that theory right out the window.  Where are the radiation burn victims?  Where are the radiation babies?

Nibiru comes to mind as well.  I'm sure we would have been feeling the tidal effects by now, of a large mass coming in our direction.  Or seen something in the sky.  Or is everyone astronomer in on it?  Every single one in the world? Really??$?#$!#@$???  K, point made.  Unless you think the world was created 8000 years ago, and god is punishing us and tricking us, despite mounds and mounds of evidence to the contrary.

A critical thought and reasoning is seriously needed within the Sovereignty movement.  A little less blind following, and a little more thinking for oneself.  Which is funny, cuz most of em have at one point or another, yet for some reason, give it up to follow the Rob Menards..  I like Rob, don't get me wrong, but I don't think he is right on everything he's ever said.

I can't fix the problem.  But I can illuminate it.  Time to see the light folks, and grow beyond the selfish distractions.  Yes society is fucked, and yes I've revoked my consent to be governed by it, but that doesn't mean I don't feel sympathy for the uneducated masses.  If you know something, it is time to reach out and tell someone.  Stop being so focused on the self, that you lose sight of the rest of us.  Many sovereign's would make great activist's, but because they're so focused on self, and "MY" rights, they miss out on their RESPONSIBILITIES.  To themselves, to eachother, to the society they've walked away from.  Just becuase you revoked consent to be governed, doesn't mean you just get to live in a fantasy land where society and it's problems don't exist.  It means you have a higher responsibility to tell people about the gross injustice's in the world.

Activism and Patriarchy

(WARNING! CONTAINS TRIGGERS)

So, I myself can't say that I've been the best ally in the world.  I've made comments that make me cringe now, but it was a little bit of education on triggers that made the web of patriarchy click.  It is, after all, one ways in which the white male uses his privilege to gain and exert control over others.

Recently, I've had some interactions online with people that usually go something along the lines of
Them:"you know, I hate those bitches and whores in power...someone should rape that stephen harper guy"
Me:"you do realize that using language such as that is only going to help perpetuate sexism and patriarchy?"
Them:"stop being a nazi and trying to dictate everything"
Me:"I only asked a question..."(or pointed it out, or whatever)
Them:"stop trying to oppress me"
Me:"I don't think you actually bothered to read what I wrote."

This goes on for a bit, and in the end, inevitably, I end up blocking these people, as they are a brick wall, and a distraction.  Apparently, I am just not capable of changing their mind.  But in reality, I really just don't think they're capable of change.  Nor do I wish to give them a voice, if their voice is going to be one that perpetuates patriarchy and sexism.  Among other things.  Hey, I might agree with these people on everything else, but if they want to perpetuate oppression, then I could care less about how much we agree about the economic system, I will refuse to have anything to do with these people, lest I get some of their bullshit sticking to my shoes.(the local nazi's are a great example of that....)

Now, I get some people who say that I'm the one responsible for making it sexist or racist by pointing it out. To those who say that, GO AND SHOVE YOUR HEAD FURTHER UP YOUR ASS!  That's like saying I'm responsible for Hiroshima and Nagasaki because I pointed out that it happened.  Time to grow the fuck up people...

Then there's the excuse that the words have multiple meanings.  But when you take in context, and historical use of the word in our highly patriarchal society, you can plainly see which meaning the person was using.  Any attempt of this type to distract from the real conversation should be shut down quickly by pointing out which context the majority of people are going to see.  Again, those who try this are fools, only trying to justify their use of patriarchal language, because they think it makes them cool.  Trust me I know.  I used to be one.

I don't know what the answer is, but I do know one thing.  Letting these things just pass you by, and not doing anything to stop it, not doing anything to stop the perpetuation of sexism, racism, or any other form of oppression, will only make things worse.  If I see something, damn skippy I'm gonna say something.  I won't report to the "authorities" as they've already proven to be a bunch patriarchal oppressive dimwits anyway.  But online, I will attempt to destroy any logical fallacies these people present, with the hammer of reason.  And if that doesn't work, well, then I guess that just means we still have one ignorant twit pissin in the gene pool.  But I won't really care by that point, as I've got way more important things to do.  But I can spend an hour a day trying to convince someone to see their error of their words and actions.   And if I get called a nazi for doing so, so be it.  I really don't care about ignorant twits opinions.

I say everyone who votes, should be taking part in their democracy.  It is the ultimate in fallacy to assume that someone who wins a popularity contest, is actually going to represent your interests.  We start em young too.  Student councils. Remember?  The ultimate popularity contests.


The students got it right.  I remember them, and I even won an election once.  As I said, it's a popularity contest for presisdent and you get some doozies.  As in any level of government. Somehow we taught our children, that highschool, it's just a popularity contest, but real life elections, it's serious.  Which is a bunch of bullshit.  We recognized it in highschool, but we seem to somehow think things are different in real political life, because that's what we are taught.  I challenge that line of thought.  I say, we were right in highschool to think of it as a popularity contest, and I think that the same applies to all levels of government.  After all, what are the numbers that our leaders are most concerned with?  Their popularity ratings.  It's how they get elected after all.

Lets talk about polls for a second.  K, so there you are, in the booth, deciding who you'd like to have represent you.  Who you want to be YOUR voice in parliament.  Because you can't go there yourself, you have a job, and a family, and you're too busy to really get involved in politics.  And if you really get to have a say in things, why would you give it up to someone who may or may not A, be elected to begin with, or B, do something that goes against what you stand for?  And you have no recourse, other than to write an angry letter maybe, which could very well just be ignored.  Why do you even have a say in the first place, if you don't bother to pay attention, or care, or do something to effect change?  I know some who work within the system to try and effect change.  I don't believe that works too well.  Some of these issues have been going on for a very very long time.  It's high time we took notice and all started doing something, anything, to change.  Work within the system, or don't.  But don't sit there and do nothing.  Take notice before more suffer.

Richwood Fire - London Ontario - July 3rd, 2012

Richwood kitchens on McCormick Blvd has gone up in smoke today.  The building, which has been abandoned for some time, was owned by the city, and was currently undergoing a demolition.  5 or 6 firetrucks showed up to combat todays blaze. The fire was started by workers accidentally when sparks from the steel they were cutting, landed on a pile of combustible material on the floor below at around 9am.

This is not the first time in recent memory, where a building being demolished has gone up in smoke in London.

Oh Canada!!

I am not celebrating this Canada Day.  I will be taking my fiance to see the fireworks, but not because of any misplaced sense of nationalism or patriotism, but because it is the one year anniversery of us hooking up, and we did it last year, it's free, and I like explosions.

This Canada Day, I find myself making a video, of the issues our gov't has been complicit in helping to perpetuate.  It's too short to take in all of the specific issues, so keep an eye here, as there is way more to come.

It's disgusting to me that we still have to fight oppression, from those who say they are only trying to help us, by taking away our freedoms and liberties, by criminalizing dissent, and by harassing those who are only trying to make a difference.  It really shouldn't surprise anyone though, as this is just history repeating itself.  The same type of things were happening in the sixties.  50 years this has been going on, and when will it stop?  Hopefully when those in power realize that the responsibilities that they have been given, have been abused, and stop it, but I don't see that happening anytime soon. :P

I am releasing a short video, that I hope you will watch.  Hopefully it will open the eyes of some.  Maybe not.  All I can do is try.  Please share widely, and shed a little light for those still in the dark.
